Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship 2026–2028, a fully funded two-year master’s program in Europe. The Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM) program is part of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees, designed for students who want to advance their knowledge in environmental science, geospatial data, and sustainability.
This program is offered by four leading European universities located in Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Estonia. Funded by the European Commission, the Erasmus GEM Scholarship welcomes applicants from all around the world, regardless of academic background. There is no application fee, and for the 2026–2028 intake, approximately 18 fully funded Erasmus+ scholarships will be awarded. Graduates will receive a double master’s degree from two partner universities.

Eligibility Criteria
The Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship 2026–2028 is open to all nationalities.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or be in their final year of study
- Come from any academic background (technical, social, or computing fields are accepted)
- Meet the English language requirements
- Have no age limit for application
- Applicants with a second (Master’s) degree are also eligible
- Motivation letters, recommendation letters, and research proposals are no longer required
